World No. 7 Rickie Fowler relied on his Pro V1 golf ball on Sunday to top an elite limited field made up of some of the world’s best players, as he captured the Hero World Challenge (an unofficial event on the PGA Tour) with a course-record-setting final round of 11-under-par 61. Fowler finished four shots clear of runner-up, Titleist Brand Ambassador Charley Hoffman (Pro V1). Titleist Brand Ambassador Jordan Spieth (Pro V1x) and Titleist golf ball loyalist Tommy Fleetwood (Pro V1x) tied for 3rd, two more shots back, as Titleist players accounted for each of the top four spots on the leaderboard.

Fowler started the final round seven shots off the lead, but he opened with seven straight birdies and added an eighth at No. 9 for an incredible 8-under-par 28 on the front side at Albany Golf Club in the Bahamas.

Last season Fowler won the Honda Classic, finished 7th in the FedExCup race and ranked inside the top 40 on Tour for every category in the Strokes Gained statistics.

“The big thing was to not lose what we had going this past year,” said Fowler, “because it was a very solid year across the board. And what we’re going to work on going forward is just picking up a few of the little things that could have made just that difference to put us in the winner’s circle more on Sunday.”
